On May 2nd, 2026, I had the honor of photographing Raelynn and Andrew’s beautiful wedding at Ashley Ridge by Wedgewood Weddings in Littleton, Colorado. While every wedding day tells a love story, this one felt especially meaningful because it wasn’t just the joining of two people—it was the blending of two families into one. Andrew’s son and Raelynn’s two daughters made up the wedding party, which made the day feel incredibly personal and emotional.
Ashley Ridge provided the perfect backdrop for the celebration. Nestled in Littleton with stunning mountain views and beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, the venue gave us endless opportunities for romantic portraits and candid family moments. Between the soft spring weather, the emotional ceremony, and the joyful energy throughout the evening, every part of the day photographed beautifully.
Purple Details & Playful Personalities
From the moment I arrived, there was a warmth and playfulness between everyone that made the entire day feel effortless. You could tell this family genuinely enjoyed being around each other. There were laughs constantly being shared, little inside jokes, supportive hugs, and the kind of comfort that only comes from real connection. The wedding style itself was elegant with playful touches that perfectly reflected their personalities. The color palette featured gorgeous shades of purple woven throughout the décor, florals, and bridal party details. But one of the most fun details had to be the girls’ shoes—they wore colorful Nike sneakers in coordinating purple tones instead of traditional heels. It added such a fun, youthful vibe to the day and perfectly captured the family’s laid-back, authentic energy. The couple did a first look at the family home that was filled with emotion.
A Meaningful Sand Ceremony & Heartfelt Vows
During the ceremony, they held a beautiful sand ceremony that included all of the children. Each family member poured their own colored sand into one shared container, symbolizing not only the joining of Raelynn and Andrew, but the blending of all their lives, memories, and futures together. It was one of those moments that had everyone emotional behind the camera and in the crowd.
Their vows were equally touching—personal, heartfelt, and full of genuine emotion. You could feel how deeply these two cared for not only each other, but the family they were building together. In one especially sweet and funny moment, Andrew became so caught up in the emotion and excitement that he leaned in for a kiss before they were officially announced husband and wife, which had everyone laughing. It was such a perfect reflection of their playful relationship and how eager they were to finally be married.
As the ceremony came to a close, guests waved beautiful ribbons as the newlyweds walked back down the aisle together. The colorful ribbons dancing in the breeze created such a joyful and celebratory atmosphere, making for some truly magical moments and photos.
The Moments That Matter Most
Some of my favorite moments weren’t the perfectly posed portraits—they were the in-between moments. The girls fixing Raelynn’s dress while laughing together. Andrew looking at his son with pride during the ceremony. The way this family naturally teased and supported each other throughout the night. Those are the moments that truly tell the story of a wedding day.
A Reception Full of Joy & Special Moments
The reception was filled with so much laughter, dancing, and genuine celebration. One of the sweetest moments of the night was when Raelynn shared a playful dance with her daughters on the dance floor. The three of them laughed, spun around together, and completely embraced the moment, showing the beautiful bond they share as a family.
Another incredibly touching moment happened earlier in the evening when Raelynn’s older daughter, who had missed her prom, was surprised by being crowned “Prom Queen” during the reception. It was such a thoughtful and emotional gesture that had everyone cheering for her. Moments like these made the entire wedding feel less like a formal event and more like a heartfelt celebration of love, family, and creating new memories together.

Raelynn and Andrew’s wedding was such a beautiful reminder that weddings are about more than just romance—they’re about commitment, growth, and choosing each other every single day. Watching these two officially merge their families surrounded by so much love was incredibly special, and I feel so grateful to have captured it all.
