As a Denver wedding photographer, I am constantly reminded that the most beautiful weddings are the ones that reflect the couple’s unique story. Alexandra and Kyle’s intimate Colorado wedding was the perfect example. From a lakeside ceremony surrounded by mountain views to emotional first looks and a breathtaking sunset, their June wedding in the Colorado mountains was filled with meaningful moments, stunning scenery, and the love of family who traveled across the country to celebrate with them.

Some love stories begin in the most unexpected places. For Alexandra and Kyle, it all started with a dating app six years ago. What began as a simple swipe turned into a beautiful relationship built on love, adventure, and partnership. On June 9th, 2026, surrounded by their closest family and some of Colorado’s most breathtaking scenery, they officially said “I do.”

The day began at a beautiful mountain home where everyone got ready together. One of the most emotional moments came during Alexandra’s first look with her dad. As he turned around and saw his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time. These quiet, heartfelt moments are often some of my favorites as a Denver wedding photographer.
Shortly afterward, Alexandra and Kyle shared their own first look. They had a chance to soak in the excitement and anticipation of the day together before becoming husband and wife.

Although Alexandra and Kyle call Wisconsin home, Colorado has always held a special place in their hearts. Their love for the mountains began years ago when their mom introduced the family to Colorado through holiday trips and family vacations. Those visits created lasting memories and eventually inspired the perfect place for their wedding day. Their family traveled all the way from Wisconsin to celebrate alongside them, making the day feel intimate, meaningful, and full of love.

Their ceremony took place at Windy Point Group Campground in Dillon, Colorado, nestled within the beautiful White River National Forest. With Dillon Reservoir sparkling behind them and the Rocky Mountains stretching into the distance, the setting could not have been more perfect.
The intimate ceremony felt true to who they are—simple, authentic, and focused on what mattered most: their commitment to one another and the family who had traveled so far to witness it.

Sometimes the most memorable wedding details aren’t planned at all. Behind the ceremony site, someone had created a heart out of rocks in the sand along the shoreline. It felt like a hidden gift from nature, perfectly complementing the romance of the day.
As the ceremony ended and we began taking portraits, the evening became even more magical. The sun started to set over the mountains, casting a warm golden glow across the lake. Then, almost as if it had been arranged specifically for them, a sailboat drifted across the water in the background, creating one of the most picturesque scenes imaginable.

As a Denver wedding photographer, I photograph weddings all across Colorado, and it’s easy to see why couples choose mountain destinations like Breckenridge and Dillon for their wedding day. The combination of alpine lakes, towering mountain peaks, and unforgettable sunsets creates a backdrop that simply can’t be replicated.
For couples looking for an intimate wedding experience that focuses on connection, family, and stunning scenery, Colorado offers endless possibilities.

Alexandra and Kyle’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that the best celebrations don’t have to be large to be meaningful. Surrounded by family, breathtaking views, and years of shared memories, they started this new chapter exactly where they wanted to be.
Congratulations to Alexandra and Kyle! Thank you for allowing me to capture your incredible Colorado wedding day. I can’t wait to see where life’s adventures take you next.
